How to balance check:  There is no online balance checker, you have to speak to customer services using a free phone number, and they are always lovely.

Selfridges gift cards never expire - well done Selfridges! Even if your gift card states "Cards not used for more than 12 months will expire" you can ignore this as since 2016 all cards are now timeless, even those that had previously expired.
